This 4 hour training will provide education around technology to those who work with survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and stalking. We will address the many ways technology impacts the safety, privacy, accessibility, and civil rights of survivors. Participants will gain information and understanding of how technology is misused by people who abuse and the effects on the safety and well- being of survivors. This training will provide resources for agencies that include technology safety plans, tip sheets, articles and research, specifically addressing the topics of data security, spyware, GPS monitoring, cell phone and internet safety, confidentiality, and privacy issues.
