It has been widely accepted that housing ends homelessness.  For most people, however, housing alone is not enough to be the solution.  Most individuals and families are in need of ancillary supports; therefore many service providers offer “supportive services” leading up to and following the housing process.

Supportive services may include transportation, case management, child care, employment or education assistance, job training, parenting classes, substance use treatment, counseling, health care, support groups, benefits assistance, financial literacy training, or legal advocacy.
